White Strings

Dr. R. Praveen

dr praveenWho are you? Where are you from?

Which is your native place? What’s your religion? What’s your caste?

While these questions loom around...

Evoking prejudices that are kindled, depending on the answers..

Biological blobs held in framework of bones...

Unicellular, aeons ago.

Stand aside and look at anyone,

They are no special...

Motor Mannequins with masqueraded facades,

The fatty mass that fills the skull, manipulates..

All flesh and bones, genetic-milieu painted skin tones,

Assumes an air of importance, in delusions of social stance..

Stance defined by social systems, so you say..

Thrives, courtesy of wicked brains and mute gullible minds soaked in ignorance...

Fingers fattened by such systems, pulls the strings..

Until you realise this, the bells of liberation never rings..

When the bell tolls,

Think... why you are still,

Mortgaging yourself to be puppets,

in the strings pulled by those fat fingers?

Usher the wrath of centuries of subjugation,

Never budge in meek silence,

Only a puppet dances quietly,

to the pulls of those white strings...

Realise!! you’re none’s muppet..

the white strings strangulating..

Shout aloud!..

Till those fat fingers tremble...

Pull off those strings and tear them apart..

For if you settle for subsistence amidst the strings..

You will be pulled, played left tattered..

As is the history for many hundred years...

Without practice, a system can’t thrive,

With major dissent, it can’t survive..

The Sinister system’s inventors and its patrons a few,

The exploited ignorant lot, a lot ,

Willy-nilly remain part of it,

 not knowing their plight within.

Nothing’s at stake, make haste to forsake

Walk out from the confines of irrationality..

Progress along the paths of rationality.
